    Jammu Martyrs Day marked with renewal of pledge to accomplish their mission for completion of Pakistan

    Special congregations pay rich tributes to over 6 lakh Jammu Muslim martyrs of 1947,

    MIRPUR (AJK),  (Parliament Times) :  Jammu & Kashmir people inhibitting at both sides of the line of control and rest of the world observed the Jammu Martyrs anniversary on Thirsday to commemorate the supreme sacrifices of the lives given by over 2.50 lakh Muslim residents of Jammu city and in its outskirts this day in 1947 while moving for migrating to the newly-born Muslims separate homeland of Pakistan.

    The day is observed every year by the Kashmiris to remember the supreme sacrifices of lives rendered by those over 2.50 lakh inmates of Jammu including men, women, children and elderly Muslims who were mercilessly slaughtered by the armed Hindu gangsters including the Indian occupying and the dogra military troops with the connivance of the dogra hindu fanatics, under a nefarious pre-planned conspiracy while they were proceeding for migrating to Pakistan near Jammu – Sialkot working boundary.

    As previous, the day was observed by every native of internationally acknowledged Jammu Kashmiri state this year too with the renewal of the pledge to continue the successfully-going struggle for freedom of occupied Jammu Kashmir from the Indian clutches till the achievement of their globally-acknowledged birth right to self determination.

    They vowed to continue their freedom-struggle with renewed resolve till last victory coupled with the heartfelt aspirations for the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue through grant of the right to self determination under the UN resolutions, required to be implemented without further loss of time.

    In Azad Jammu Kashmir special ceremonies including seminars and symposiums were held in various parts of AJK including the capital city of Muzaffarabad to pay glorious tributes to the Jammu martyrs, gunned down by the armed Hindu fanatics including Indian occupying and dogra military men, this day 78 years ago in 1947.

    Addressing these ceremonies speakers vowed to continue the mission of the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir till Kashmir Freedom movement reaches to its logical end though the achievement of the globally-acknowledged legitimate right to self determination by the people of Jammu and Kashmir State through a free and fair plebiscite in line with the United Nations resolutions, pledged by the international community.

    Jammu Martyrs Day was marked in Azad Jammu & Kashmir with a mammoth ceremony hosted at the town halls in various parts of Azad Jammu & Kashmir .

    Paying rich tributes to the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir, at special ceremony of the civil society held at the Mirpur-AJK Deputy Commissioner office complex chaired by ADC ( G) Raja Omer Tariq and SP Mirpur Raja Nadeem Arif, speakers including the ADC ( G) Raja Omer, Secretary General National Events Organizing Committee Altaf Hameed Nizami and others said that the best way to pay rich tributes to the martyrs of Jammu is to follow their foot steps with the renewal of the pledge to continue the struggle for achievement of the birth right of self determination for reaching to the Kashmiris ultimate destination of Pakistan – for which the people of Jammu & Kashmir starting giving the supreme sacrifices of their lives.

    Speakers recalled that the people of Jammu & Kashmir had decided with firm stand to attach their destiny with Pakistan even before the emergence of the country through unanimously approving July 19, 1947 historical resolution of accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan in Srinagar.

    Seeking complete unity and solidarity among all the political parties of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on one point agenda of the freedom of Jammu & Kashmir and the settlement of Kashmir issue in line with the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, speakers underlined that the people of Jammu & Kashmir can perform an affective and result-oriented role for the settlement of the much-delayed Kashmir issue and they should be granted an opportunity to perform the national responsibility to this direction.

    Secretary General National Events Organizing Committee AH Nizami called upon the international community to sincerely move for performing due global obligations to ensure the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue which involves the right to self determination of about 20 million people of Jammu & Kashmir.

    Nizami urged upon the world community and the international organizations to take immediate notice of the continued Indian state terrorism unleashed against the innocent freedom-loving people in occupied Jammu & Kashmir for their “offense” of raising voice for liberation of the motherland from the Indian yoke and for the achievement of their birth right of self determination.

    He called upon the comity of nations to perform its due global obligations to get the right of self determination granted to Kashmiris, which India is denying since last seven decades by deviating from all international norms and commitments and for which (right of self determination), the Kashmiris are fighting since last 75 years.

    The Chair Raja Omer Tariq urged upon the international community to perform their due obligations for ensuring early peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute in the larger interest of the everlasting peace in the world in general and South Asia in particular.

    He said that best way to pay glorious tributes to the martyrs is to continue their mission till occupied land of Jammu & Kashmir is liberated from the long Indian subjugation.

    The participants offered fateha for raising the status of the departed souls of the martyrs of Jammu & Kashmir and the early success of the freedom struggle of Jammu and Kashmir for the freedom of motherland from the Indian subjugation.

    Earlier, the day dawned with special prayers, at Fajr, in all the prominent mosques for the early liberation of occupied Jammu Kashmir from Indian yoke through success of Kashmir freedom movement, progress, prosperity and stability of Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Fateh Khawani was offered at various places for the rest of the departed souls of Jammu and Kashmir martyrs – under the auspices of various social, political and public representative organizations.

    According to the independent historians and observers, least 6 lakh muslims in Jammu region were assassinated in a week time in first week of November 1947 by the armed extremist Hindus, despotic dogra and Occupational Indian troops and with the backing of the dogra ruler under a
    pre-planned conspiracy to exercise the genocide of lakhs of innocent Muslims population of Jammu.
