Rawalakot, (Parliament Times) : An important meeting of the District Price Control Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Sardar Umar Farooq. Committee members, officers of relevant departments, and representatives from various sectors attended the session.

The meeting reviewed in detail the current price lists of meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, bakery items, and other essential commodities. The Deputy Commissioner directed that regular market inspections be carried out as per the approved schedule to ensure full compliance with official prices and quality standards.

He emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against those involved in hoarding, profiteering, or overcharging beyond fixed rates.

The meeting also issued directives for close monitoring of the weights and measures system, as well as the prices and quantities of petroleum products and LPG.

The Deputy Commissioner further instructed that all illegally installed fuel nozzles be immediately sealed and that no leniency be shown to violators.

He also appealed to the public to report any complaints regarding illegal pricing or underweight goods to the district administration for prompt action.
