ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : The Social Welfare Department, operating under the Ministry
of Human Rights, Government of Pakistan, organized a One-Day
Orientation Session on Social Welfare Services in ICT Islamabad to
enhance coordination and inclusivity among stakeholders working in the
social welfare sector. Syed Ish Gilani, CEO of United Global
Organization of Development (UGOOD) and Chair of NACG Pakistan,
participated in the session and shared his valuable insights and
experiences. He emphasized the importance of aligning thematic areas
with social welfare priorities and called for a coordinated mechanism
to collectively address community needs—particularly in areas
concerning Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Persons with Disabilities
(PWDs), Minorities, Transgender Persons, and **child welfare.UGOOD
expressed gratitude to Mr. Abdul Khalique Shaikh, Secretary, Ministry
of Human Rights, and Mr. Muhammad Yousaf Shah, Director, Social
Welfare Services, for organizing such an interactive, informative, and
collaborative event. The session fostered stronger partnerships and
reaffirmed the collective commitment to building a more inclusive and
equitable Islamabad.
