PM AJK vows merit, efficiency, and public welfare at the Core of AJK’s Health reforms
Muzaffarabad/ MIRPUR (AJK) (Parliament Times) : A meeting of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Department of Public Health was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq.
The meeting was attended by Ministers Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq and Nisar Ansar Abbasi, along with the Secretary Planning & Development, Secretary Health AJK, and Special Secretary Health AJK.
Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq instructed that measures be accelerated to improve infrastructure and human resources within the Department of Public Health.
During the briefing, the Prime Minister was apprised of the progress on the issuance of health cards and the development of health infrastructure.
He directed the Public Health Department to prepare a comprehensive plan to enhance administrative efficiency and to take immediate action on all pending departmental inquiries.
The Prime Minister further instructed the Secretary Health to submit a report within the next 72 hours on progress related to pending departmental cases.
“Public interest has always been our top priority,” said Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq.
He ordered that for effective administration, the Director General Health should perform duties one week every month in Muzaffarabad and the remaining three weeks in the respective divisions.
The Prime Minister emphasized making the public health system effective at the grassroots level, declaring that “there will be no room for negligence or error.”
“The use of resources must strictly serve public welfare,” he added.
Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq reaffirmed his commitment to merit-based governance, stating, “We have always prioritized merit, and our policy of promoting merit will continue. The mission of serving the people will go on.”
