    COMSATS University Attock awards degrees to 313 Graduates at 42nd Convocation

    Attock : COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Attock Campus, held its 42nd Convocation Ceremony on October 22, 2025, at the campus premises to confer degrees upon graduating students from various disciplines. A total of 313 students from the Departments of Computer Science, Management Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mathematics were awarded bachelor’s and master’s degrees. High achievers were also presented with medals in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.
    The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Prof. Dr. Sajid Qamar, Rector, COMSATS University Islamabad. The event was attended by members of the University Senate, Syndicate, Academic Council, Deans, faculty members, representatives of the District Administration Attock, parents, and the graduating students.
    In his address, Prof. Dr. Sajid Qamar congratulated the graduates and commended the efforts of the faculty and administration of the Attock Campus for maintaining high academic and research standards. He remarked:
    “Today’s convocation marks a defining moment in your lives. You are stepping into the world as ambassadors of COMSATS University — carrying with you the values of integrity, excellence, and innovation. I encourage you to serve humanity with dedication, uphold the highest ethical standards, and continue striving for personal and professional distinction.”
    Earlier, Prof. Dr. Laiq Khan, Director, COMSATS University Islamabad, Attock Campus, congratulated the graduating students and their parents on this proud occasion. He highlighted the university’s mission to produce graduates equipped with strong research, moral, and professional values, enabling them to excel in practical life and contribute positively to national development.
    Prof. Dr. Laiq Khan shared key achievements of the university, noting that according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, COMSATS University Islamabad is placed among the 601–800 best universities globally, while the QS World Ranking 2025 places it at 664. He further mentioned that CUI stands number one in Pakistan in Interdisciplinary Science Rankings.
    At present, a total of 1,910 students are enrolled across five departments at the Attock Campus, and 6,380 students have graduated since its inception. The campus is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and all academic programs are accredited by the relevant national accreditation bodies. Prof. Dr. Laiq Khan also noted that the campus has a highly qualified faculty, with the majority holding PhD degrees, and proudly shared that two faculty members have been recognized by Stanford University among the top 2% scientists in the world for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025.
    He also highlighted the extensive research, co-curricular, and infrastructural facilities available at the Attock Campus, which provide an enabling environment for quality education and innovation.
    The ceremony concluded with the distribution of degrees and medals among the graduating students and position holders by the Chief Guest, followed by a vote of thanks and the national anthem.
