HUB, (Parliament Times) : Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, senior central leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party, spokeperson for President Asif Ali Zardari, and Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives Balochistan, said that the propaganda and fake campaign being run against him on social media is a well-planned conspiracy which they completely reject. He said the aim of this fabricated campaign is to influence the cases pending in the courts, but these negative tactics by opponents will not succeed, and Rao Anwar and Ishaq Lashari, along with their associates, will receive the rightful punishment. He added that false, misleading and character-assassination videos have been circulated on various social-media platforms. In those programs he was portrayed as a land grabber, someone who uses political influence, and was accused of other charges. One of those programs was the YouTube show “System,” in which Farhan Malik, the notorious former SSP Rao Anwar and others leveled allegations against him. A case under the Peca Act has been filed against this fake campaign by Mir Ali Hassan Zehri’s representative and manager, Ali Asghar Zehri. The FIR includes the names Rao Anwar, Ishaq Lashari, Farhan Malik, Usama Altaf, Hasan Bakhshi, Syed Kazim Rizvi, Fareed Dilari and others.
He said further that, this campaign is actually the work of the same hostile elements from the past who have been involved in publicity and criminal actions against them. Now they want to distract attention from the ongoing cases and achieve their malicious aims through negative propaganda, but those tricks will not work and they will not escape the reach of the law. Mir Ali Hassan Zehri said that while he was abroad, the notorious then-SSP Rao Anwar targeted his father-in-law (a Grade-21 government officer), Mumtaz Sheikh, outside his home with official weapons. Six separate constitutional petitions related to this incident were filed in the high courts. Initial hearings took place in Sindh, but because of evidence and security concerns the cases were later transferred to Balochistan, where proceedings are now underway. He said he believes in the supremacy of justice and the rule of law and, instead of personal revenge, wants the criminals to be punished through legal means, and he will not rest until that is achieved.
Mir Ali Hassan Zehri added that the motives behind the social-media propaganda will soon be exposed to the public and the architects of this obscene and fake campaign and their malicious aims will be revealed. He said they are representatives of the people and will continue to provide every possible facility to the public and to serve the oppressed, and those who work against the people will get their comeuppance.
