    Wildlife Department cracks down on illegal hunters in Pindi Gheb, imposes Rs. 750,000 in Fines

    Attock ; Like the rest of Punjab, the Wildlife Department in
    Pindi Gheb has also intensified its crackdown against illegal hunters,
    imposing fines totaling Rs. 750,000, which have been deposited into
    the national treasury. In addition, several hunters have been arrested
    and sent to jail.

    According to details, following the directives of the Government of
    Punjab to ensure the protection of wildlife, the Pindi Gheb Wildlife
    Department, under the clear instructions of Deputy Chief Wildlife
    Rawalpindi Arifa Batool and Assistant Chief Wildlife Ranger Attock
    Shahzaib Khurshid, carried out successful raids. The raids were led by
    Senior Wildlife Ranger in charge of Pindi Gheb, Shoukat Khan, along
    with his team, resulting in fines amounting to Rs. 750,000 and the
    arrest of several hunters involved in illegal hunting.

    Speaking to the media on the occasion, the Wildlife Department
    in-charge said that the department is fully committed to protecting
    wildlife and ensuring the preservation of endangered bird species. He
    issued a stern warning to those violating the law, urging them to
    refrain from illegal hunting, otherwise, strict action would be taken
    against them.
