Islamabad,(Parliament Times)  : The Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has translated “Medemer Generation,” the famous book by Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, into the national language, Urdu.
This gesture of goodwill and respect recognizes the visionary leadership of PM Dr. Abiy Ahmed for Ethiopia and the broader region.
The translation was carried out by the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD) of Pakistan in line with the directives of H.E. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture.
Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, Special Envoy and Ambassador Extraordinary of Ethiopia, visited the NLPD office on Friday to officially receive the translated copies from Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Director General of the NLPD.
During the visit, the two sides discussed deepening bilateral cooperation to further promote literature and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker expressed his deepest gratitude to the Federal Minister and Director General Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar for their remarkable efforts in realizing the translation of the book.
Subsequently, the Ambassador placed the translated copy of the “Medemer Generation” in the NLPD Library, allowing Pakistani readers to learn about Ethiopia’s philosophy of practical inter-generational connectivity, unity, and togetherness for robust nation-building.
