MIRPUR ( AJK), (Parliament Times) : After reports abput the fast emerging life-threatening Dengue virus in various parts of the lake-side city of Mirpur,the DIstrict Health authorities, on Special directives of District Health Officer Mirpur, launched an extensive drive of fogging spray to eliminate symptoms of dengue in the city, official sources said.
The DHO office sources told this Correspondent here Thursday that anti-dengue medicine spray drive was conducted in thickly populated Sector D-1, D-3 East Aqab (Bandhan Marriage Hall), Sector D-4, Sector A-3 and Staff Colony in the city on Thursday.
“The Dengue Squad of the State Health Department (Communicable Diseases) is using all available resources to keep the public safe from dengue mosquitoes”, the sources said.
The district health authorities have appealed to the citizens to keep their surroundings clean removing all open utensils carrying water storage. “Mosquito prevention measures should be mandatory in the morning and evening hours by strictly following the instructions of the Health Department”, the DHO office advised
