Luton, (PR) : Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader in Luton, Lala Chaudhry Muhammad Taj Samroor, has urged the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, to restore the traditional Numberdari system in the region to ensure transparency in addressing public issues and to strengthen representation at the grassroots level.
Lala Chaudhry Muhammad Taj Samroor, son of the late Chaudhry Muhammad Elahi, a highly respected Numberdar of Azad Kashmir, said the Numberdari system had historically served as an effective bridge between the government and the people. He added that its revival would not only facilitate timely resolution of public concerns through the relevant authorities but also help mobilize local leadership with greater responsibility.
He praised Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq’s political vision and commitment to public service, expressing confidence that under his leadership Azad Kashmir would embark on new paths of progress and prosperity.
He made these remarks while speaking at his residence in Luton during a meeting with prominent political and social personality Shahid Zaman Sarhotvi. On the occasion, Shahid Zaman Sarhoti endorsed Lala Chaudhry Muhammad Taj Samroor’s views and noted that the restoration of the Numberdari system would indeed be a positive step for the people.
