Luton, (PR) : Haji Chaudhry Muhammad Qurban, Coordinator of the Kashmir Solidarity Campaign in Luton, has expressed serious concerns regarding the suspension of internet and mobile phone services in Azad Kashmir amid ongoing protests organized by the Awami Action Committee.

For the past three days, this disruption has severely affected communication, causing distress and anxiety within the overseas Kashmiri community. Many individuals have been unable to connect with their families and fellow countrymen, heightening their worries during this critical time.

Haji Chaudhry Qurban has called on the governments of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir to act swiftly to restore communication services and implement measures that address public hardships, allowing life to return to normalcy. He asserted that in today’s world, access to communication is fundamental, and suspending it only exacerbates public grievances and deepens the concerns of overseas communities.

Further, he urged both the government and protest leaders to prioritize dialogue in order to prevent the region’s fragile situation from worsening. He firmly believes that a lasting resolution to the ongoing issues can only be achieved through negotiations.

Highlighting the political leadership in Azad Kashmir, Haji Chaudhry Qurban remarked that Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq is a dedicated guardian of public interests, while President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry plays a pivotal role in advancing the Kashmiri right to self-determination movement on the international stage. He also recognized Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, President of the Pakistan People’s Party, Azad Kashmir, as one of the region’s most respected and popular leaders.

Qurban emphasized that the seasoned political leadership of Azad Kashmir, in collaboration with the emerging leaders of the Awami Action Committee, must unite to draft a comprehensive charter of demands aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the prevailing crisis.
