Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : GAK HealthCare International has embarked on a strategic expansion into Indonesia, demonstrating how Pakistani enterprises can forge impactful international partnerships and contribute to economic growth both abroad and at home.

Led by Group CEO Yasir Khan Niazi, the high-level delegation, comprising representatives from the Indonesian Embassy in Islamabad, and consultant partners from RSM Pakistan and RSM Indonesia, with facilitation from Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met key stakeholders across East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province. Discussions with NTT Governor H.E. Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena centered on deployment of specialized doctors, establishing a medical college modeled after GAK’s flagship Islamabad Medical & Dental College, and developing a research and training hub.

GAK HealthCare’s Group CEO also held a meeting with H.E. Riyatno, Vice Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Deputy of BKPM Indonesia, to explore collaborations to advance technology-driven medical services in Indonesia. This potential investment would not only strengthen Indonesia’s healthcare ecosystem but also elevate Pakistan’s private sector as a trusted international partner, opening doors for medical technology exchange, global recognition, and new opportunities for Pakistani expertise.

Yasir Khan Niazi stated that “our expansion comes at a time when the Asia-Pacific healthcare sector is forecasted to reach USD 5 trillion by 2030, accounting for nearly 40% of global healthcare growth. Southeast Asia’s education technology market, currently valued at USD 10.7 billion in 2024, is expected to climb to USD 41.5 billion by 2033. Leveraging GAK’s proven models in Pakistan, where we have built hospitals, medical, dental, nursing and allied health sciences colleges, and training institutes, we are committed to positioning Pakistan as a source of knowledge, healthcare excellence, and innovation. This initiative will not only raise standards of care and education but also generate significant economic value for our nation and its global diaspora, founded on integrity, innovation, and sustainable impact.”

In Labuan Bajo, Edistasius Endi, the Regent of West Manggarai, met Yasir Niazi and emphasized health tourism as a regional development priority. The Regent pledged full governmental support, including favorable zoning policies and potential Presidential Decrees to facilitate healthcare projects aligned with GAK’s vision.

At Nusa Cendana University in Kupang and RSUD Komodo Hospital, academic and healthcare leaders, including Rector Prof. Dr. Maxs U.E. Sanam and Director Dr. Maria Yosephina Melinda Gampar, welcomed GAK’s vision through proposals for faculty and student exchanges, joint research, data-sharing initiatives, and phased academic collaboration, underscoring the potential of this partnership to strengthen regional capacity.

Yasir Khan Niazi added, “This collaboration goes beyond healthcare and education, it highlights Pakistan’s capacity to craft solutions for global challenges. With the right mix of investment and policy support, Pakistani enterprises can establish models that thrive nationally, expand internationally, and evolve into centers of excellence that generate growth, knowledge, and sustainable value for generations to come.”

Imran Ali Ghouri, Head of Communications at GAK HealthCare International, remarked: “This initiative marks a transformational shift in how Pakistan’s private sector is perceived internationally. The healthcare and education markets in Southeast Asia alone represent immense opportunities. For investors and governments, this partnership offers a unique avenue to engage in collaborations that deliver meaningful social impact and robust economic returns.”

This marks the start of measurable cross-border projects expected to channel multi-million-dollar investments within five years.
