Islamabad, (Parliament Times) ) Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, while talking to journalists at a tea party hosted by former Coordinator Sardar Tahir Sultan, said that the development and democratic values in Azad Kashmir are a result of the struggle of political parties.
He mentioned that the All-Parties Conference was an opportunity for public unity and a joint strategy on regional issues, but some incidents affected its positive message. He expressed reservations about the participation of Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq in the conference and some measures that hurt political harmony.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan termed the case registered against government advisor Ahmad Saghir as unjust and said it would discourage workers. He emphasized that Azad Kashmir has always been a base camp for Pakistan, and they should focus on raising the voice for the people of occupied Kashmir on a global level.
Other leaders, including former Minister of Government Abid Hussain Abid, government advisor Ahmad Saghir, and others, also spoke at the event, criticizing the government’s performance and stating that the PPP would not be part of this system anymore.
