Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Food Control Cell team took action, disposing of 1100 liters of chemical-mixed milk. Crackdown continued in Rawalpindi Cantt to prevent substandard items. Under the special directives of CEO Syed Ali Irfan Rizvi, the staff of the Food Control Cell of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, under the supervision of Deputy Cantonment Executive Officer Nasir Kamal, raided a factory in the area of Peer Wadhai Mor Naseerabad in Cantt where chemical-mixed milk was being illegally prepared. 1100 liters of chemical-mixed milk and milk-making equipment were seized and disposed of, and the factory was sealed. In addition, the Food Control Cell staff took action against substandard cleanliness and against those without medical certificates in various areas of Cantt, issuing 22 notices and collecting 30 samples from various food points, which were sent to the laboratory for testing. The Food Control Cell staff is taking daily actions against poor cleanliness in all areas of Cantt to provide standard and safe food to the residents of Cantt. On this occasion, Syed Ali Irfan Rizvi said that actions are being continued day and night to end the supply of substandard milk.He added that those doing food business in Cantt should ensure implementation of hygiene principles. Actions are being taken without discrimination to eradicate the roots of the adulteration mafia.
