Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : The Kashmir Institute of Management (KIM), Muzaffarabad, has launched a one-month voluntary internship (Training) program for graduates of the IT Board-sponsored four-month training course. Commencing on August 11, 2025, the program aims to enhance practical skills in public sector operations, with a special focus on emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Prompt Engineering.
The inaugural session featured detailed briefings on the history/functions of KIM besides the program’s objectives and Terms of Reference (ToRs), followed by hands-on training. Speakers included Mr. Tariq Mahmood Butt (Directing Staff), Mr. Abrar Ahmed (Chief Instructor), Mr. Muhammad Rashid Hanif (Secretary Information Technology, Government of AJ&K), and Dr. Muqeem-Ul-Islam (Director General KIM). IT Instructor Ms. Mehmooda Jabeen also delivered a comprehensive talk on the training module.
The keynote address, delivered by Mr. Rashid Hanif, emphasized the importance of equipping young professionals with advanced technological skills and commended KIM’s efforts in creating such valuable opportunities.
In his vote of thanks, Dr. Muqeem-Ul-Islam expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest and reaffirmed KIM’s commitment to strengthening governance through training and research. Successful interns will receive official Experience Certificates, reflecting KIM’s dedication to youth development and public service excellence.
