Makkah (by Noor-ul-Hassan Gujar) : A grand and dignified ceremony was organized by Malik Irshad Hussain, a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Makkah Region, to commemorate Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The event was graced by prominent figures including the chief guests: Naseer Bhutta, Central President of PML-N Lawyers Forum and former Member of the National Assembly, and Zainab Baloch, current Member of the National Assembly.
The ceremony saw a large attendance of PML-N workers, along with notable business, social, and community personalities. Malik Irshad Hussain warmly welcomed all participants, congratulated the chief guests on performing Umrah, and appreciated their services to the party. He also extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings to everyone present.
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Naseer Bhutta remarked, “Overseas Pakistanis are our valuable asset, and we are proud to see such passionate Independence Day celebrations even outside Pakistan. Our government is taking serious steps to resolve the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis, including the establishment of special courts, online property transfers, and other key initiatives.”
MNA Zainab Baloch also addressed the gathering, thanking all attendees and praising the enthusiasm of Pakistanis living abroad. She extended Independence Day wishes to all compatriots.
The event also featured speeches by Ayesha Umar, Assistant Attorney General of Pakistan, and Haji Muhammad Siddique, President of PML-N Makkah Region, who shared their thoughts on the significance of the day.
At the end of the event, guests were treated to the traditional Saudi Arabian dish “Mandi,” which was widely appreciated by all attendees.
