Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : The National Highway Authority is planning a grand operation to remove encroachments along the Grand Trunk (GT) Road from Hassan Abdal to Rawalpindi. Local journalists and social personalities have long been raising their voices against these encroachments, particularly in areas like Taxila Chowk, Tarnol, and Motorway Mor.
According to Senior Journalists M Qasim, Rana M Ikram and Syed Rizwan Shah said that massive creak down required against incrochments.
The Punjab government conducted a clean-up operation against encroachments two months ago, but within a few days, the mafia re-established encroachments in markets and along the GT Road. Senior journalists M Qasim, Rana M Ikraam and Syed Rizwan proposed
that the operation against encroachments should be impartial and without discrimination, and that cases should be registered against those who establish encroachments.
