Extension of summer vacations in educational institutions of Punjab is the worst example of hostility to education, Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain

Islamabad,  (Parliament Times) : All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association Central President Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain has completely rejected the Punjab government’s extension of summer vacations until September 1 as an illogical, anti-education and unjustified decision and demanded that this hidden conspiracy to keep children away from school be exposed. Schools must be opened before August 14, otherwise the already devastated education system in the country will suffer further backwardness.

In his statement issued here yesterday, Dr. Malik Abrar Hussain said that the decision of the Punjab government to extend the summer vacation is a very disappointing, wrong and anti-educational decision. The Punjab government should immediately review this decision and withdraw the decision to extend the summer vacation immediately, because it is causing educational losses to students, especially matriculation classes, which will be badly affected. Private educational institutions in Islamabad have opened as usual since August 4, while schools in other provinces of Pakistan have also started educational activities as usual. The government should have opened schools before August 14 and given children the opportunity to participate in the Independence Day celebrations, but the unnecessary extension of the holidays has affected the educational process. The government should immediately reconsider the decision and allow educational institutions to open so that timely completion of the curriculum and preparation for exams can be possible. He said that Pakistan’s education system is already facing serious problems due to the government’s poor strategy and unjustified and illogical decisions. In such a situation, to save it from further destruction, the practice of holding daily holidays in schools should be stopped immediately.
