The Futility of War and the Call for Peace

    Khadija Mayar

I hope this message finds you well. Today, I wish to address the persistent issue of war, a conflict driven by diverse motives such as territorial disputes, religious differences, or the defense of homes. These wars invariably result in devastating consequences: widespread destruction, the loss of innocent lives, and profound suffering that extends beyond soldiers to include children, women, and the elderly, who are displaced and stripped of their peace. War has proven to be an ineffective solution. Rather than resolving conflicts, it fosters deep-seated hatred, perpetuates sadness, and leaves problems unresolved. History shows that military action rarely brings lasting peace. Instead, I propose a shift toward dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect as the foundation for conflict resolution. By embracing peace and fostering global friendship, we can collaboratively build a brighter, more equitable future for all
