    Information Minister AJK calls on Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal

    Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Minister for Information Azad Jammu and Kashmir Pir Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah met with Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal, here on Wednesday.

    During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including the Kashmir issue and prevailing political situation in the region were discussed.

    Speaking on the occasion the Information Minister apprised the federal minister about various initiatives undertaken by the government of Azad Kashmir during the past couple of years.Shah, while highlighting the recently announced health package, said that improving health care services, especially in less developed areas of the state, remains top priority.

    He said that following the establishment of health centers in remote areas, the government’s focus was to ensure provision and availability of doctors and medicines in these basic health centers .

    Referring to the region’s health statistics, the minister said that Azad Kashmir has remained a polio-free state for over two decades. He said that health care services available in AJK were comparatively better than in other provinces.Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal assured the federal government’s full support for bringing further improvement in the health care system in Azad Kashmir. Mr. Kamal acknowledged Azad Kashmir’s natural beauty as a source of tourists attraction.

    The federal minister eulogized the people of Kashmir for the matchless sacrifices they offered for the state of Pakistan.

    The minister also commended the valiant people of Indian occupied Kashmir for their resilience in the face of Indian state terrorism.
