Mirpur, (AJK), (Parliament Times) : Iqbal Inqlabi, a renowned columnist, writer, and patron-in-chief of Azad Kashmir Columnists Association, has said that columnists in Azad Kashmir are utilizing their skills and services for the Kashmir cause are commendable. He expressed these views during a special meeting with media representatives.
Iqbal Inqlabi said that writers from all corners of the state are strengthening the association with their intellectual efforts. The purpose of establishing the Columnists Association is not to form a formal structure but to provide guidance, expression, and training opportunities to the state’s writers. Columnists have a great responsibility to use the power of the pen for truth, justice, and protection of state interests.
He further said that the association will be formed in three divisions and districts of Azad Kashmir soon. Many prominent writers are joining the association, which is encouraging for us. Our dream is to unite writers from three divisions like beads on a rosary, and soon this dream will become a reality.
The columnists associated with Azad Kashmir Columnists Association will utilize their skills for the freedom movement of Kashmir through their writings. The association’s president, M.D. Tahir, Chairperson Jameela Qazi, Secretary General Shaaban Asif, and other office bearers are active in making the association functional and have excellent abilities.
The association will also establish relations with Pakistan Columnists Association and international writers’ associations. We have established a beautiful platform for writers. With the cooperation of office bearers and senior columnists, we will move forward, encourage young writers, and provide guidance.
