Sargodha, (PR) : Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, has reached China on an official visit aimed at strengthening academic cooperation with Chinese universities.
The visit focuses on enhancing collaboration in education, research, and other areas of mutual interest between the two countries.
As part of the visit, Prof. Dr. Abbas attended the 2025 SCO Digital Economy Forum. On the sidelines of the event, he met with Prof. Dr. Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University, one of China’s leading higher education institutions.
During the meeting, both sides discussed potential areas of academic partnership, including joint research projects, digital learning, and faculty and student exchange programs. An Intent of Cooperation was also signed to formalize future collaboration between the two universities.
The two university heads also exchanged souvenirs, highlighting their commitment to fostering long-term academic ties.
Prof. Dr. Ijaz Asghar Bhatti, Director External Linkages, University of Sargodha, was also present at the meeting.
