Job crisis is a serious issue that affects the progress of any country. In Pakistan, the problem of unemployment is growing day by day, especially among the youth. This happens when there are not enough job opportunities compared to the number of educated and skilled people looking for work. Several reasons cause this crisis, such as poor economic planning, lack of industrial growth, political instability, out-dated education systems, and corruption in the recruitment process. As a result, the youth of Pakistan are facing many challenges. Even after completing their degrees, they struggle to find suitable jobs. This creates frustration, mental stress, and a sense of hopelessness. Many young people either move abroad in search of better opportunities or stay jobless for years. The job crisis not only affects individuals but also slows down national development and increases poverty. According to the international labour organization (ILO), the number of unemployed persons in Pakistan has surged by 1.5million since 2021, reaching a staggering 5.6millions in 2023. This crisis affects millions of young peoples, pushing them into poverty and despair. It is also the lack and loss of that state as they are not gives more opportunity to step the young and modern educated youth because they may use their fresh wisdom than the older ones. There are several reasons for the job crisis in Pakistan: Over population: Pakistan’s current population is approximately 255.2million people, with a growth rate of 1.57%. Every year thousands of students complete their education but there are not enough jobs for them. Poor education system: Many students do not get quality education. There is lack of schools, teachers which are not sincere with their jobs and do not provide a good education to students. Corruption and favouritism: Often, jobs are given to the people through personal contacts or bribes instead of merit. This discourages talented and hardworking students. Due to this skilled and educated people leave Pakistan to find jobs in other countries. When people don’t have jobs, they suffer from poverty some even turn to crime to survive. The job crisis is a serious problem in Pakistan. It needs urgent attention from both the government and private sectors with proper planning, honest efforts and strong policies, this issue can be solved and the youth of Pakistan can have a brighter future.
