Lahore, (PR) : Governor of Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, met with a delegation of bikers from Oman led by Mian Munir Hans, President of Pakistan Peoples Party Gulf & Middle East and a renowned businessman, at the Governor House. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on further promoting public, cultural, and tourism ties between the two countries.Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, stated that the visit of Omani bikers to Pakistan would play a significant role in strengthening bilateral relations and projecting a positive image of Pakistan on the international stage. He further added that Pakistan is the fortress of Islam and a peaceful nuclear power that has always raised its voice at global forums for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic world.Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said Pakistan is the only nuclear power in the Islamic world and has the full capability to deter hostile intentions. Referring to a war imposed by India, he said Pakistan made military history by defeating an enemy five times its size.The Governor highlighted vast opportunities for mutual cooperation between the two countries in various sectors including sports. He termed the visit of the Omani bikers as an important step towards enhancing tourism and cultural relations between Pakistan and Oman. He stated that Pakistan is a peaceful and beautiful country for tourism, where the people are hospitable and loving.A member of the Omani delegation, Mohammad Al-Nabhani, said, “We are very happy to be here and will never forget the love and warmth shown by the Pakistani people.” The delegation described the purpose of their visit as strengthening the message of unity, friendship, and regional cooperation.
