Lahore, (PR) : Punjab’s Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, visited the Sikh Sabha Gurdwara Sahib in Italy. During his visit, he participated in religious rituals alongside the local Sikh Sangat and delivered an important address at the Gurdwara.
In his speech, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora highlighted that Punjab is the first province in Pakistan where Sikh marriages are officially registered under the Anand Karaj Act. Practical steps are being taken to ensure the religious and legal rights of the Sikh community. He further stated that Gurdwaras across Punjab are being activated and supported to enable Sikh pilgrims to perform their religious duties freely and respectfully.
He added that facilities for Sikh Yatra in Pakistan are being significantly improved, and a new phase of Yatra is set to begin soon, offering comprehensive services to international pilgrims.
The minister emphasized that Pakistan has always welcomed the Sikh community with respect and hospitality, and continues to keep its doors open for Sikhs from around the world. He urged the international community, especially India, to put an end to hate and open its doors for Sikh pilgrims to promote religious harmony.
Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora reiterated that Pakistan is fully committed to safeguarding the rights of religious minorities. He noted that Pakistan’s positive image is being recognized internationally as a country where minorities enjoy equal rights and freedoms.
