    MUSTival 2K25: A Resounding Celebration of Cultural Heritage, Creativity, Community’ Cohesion at MUST Varsity

    MIRPUR (Parliament Times): AJK based public-sector Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) successfully hosted
    flagship three-day festival, MUSTival 2K25, from June 23 – 25 at the City Campus.

    The event brought together students, faculty, alumni, and distinguished guests for a dynamic showcase of academic excellence, cultural pride,
    technical innovation, and student leadership.

    This year’s event was managed by the Varsity students’ societies AAINA, GSM and ASCE, with
    support from ASHRAE MUST, ISBS MUST, SOIR MUST, SOYL MUST, SOYD MUST, MUST Literary Society (MLS), and the English Literary Society (ELS). Their collective endeavour turned the campus into a hub of creativity, conversation and jubilant celebration.

    The festival inaugurated the Varsity’s Ground by Brigadier (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed
    SI(M), Vice Chancellor of the MUST, flanked by the faculty members, students and other distinguished guests. The opening marked the official advent of the grand saga containing colourful events including exhibitions, performances, competitions, and community interaction.

    A variety of interactive stalls lined the campus during the first two days of the moot representing students’ projects, social initiatives, career services and local businesses’ creativity. These included IEIS, Paragon, Career Adviser, Nafees, Mano Salva, Shahgee, Qaswa
    Foundation, MA Solution, KHR Foods, Punjab Ice Cream, Waffles, and Afzaal Jewelers, among many others.

    The grand opening ceremony of the mega event was followed by a seminar on climate change and sustainability held at the
    Mechanical Hall, featuring Mr. Ali Abbas from Go Clean Pakistan and Mr. Zohaib Baig, a MUST alumnus and recent delegate at the United Nations. Their outputs enrichedcwith high intellect on the topic raised the urgency of emergence of environmental leadership among the youth.

    From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM the same day, the All-Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2K25, hosted
    by MLS, welcomed eloquent speakers from across Pakistan — including UET, University of Taxila, University of Kotli, University of Lahore, University of Poonch, University of
    Muzaffarabad, Akson College Mirpur, SLE College Hassan Abdal, and KIPS College Wah Cantt. Participants delivered compelling speeches in both Urdu and English. Winners were awarded shields in a ceremony attended by the Vice Chancellor and former Members of the National Assembly.

    Tuesday, June 24 featured academic competitions and literary activities. The Popsicle Bridge Competition, organized by ASCE, took place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by ELS’s Literary Bingo at 11:30 AM in the Electrical Department Examination Hall. From 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM, a Mehfil-e-Mushaira, presided over by Mustafa Jazaib, took place in the Mechanical Hall. Renowned poets including Shehzad Mehdi, Abdullah Zareem, Jashan Abbas, and Ahsan Sulaiman recited their work before a jam-packed audience comprising over 250 studentsn On the concluding day of June 25, was marked with the blood donation awareness seminar hosted by Irfan Shaheed Blood Society. ASHRAE MUST hosted the Final Year Project (FYP) Display, where the graduates from engineering studies presented innovative projects to faculty and guests.

    The closing ceremony, opened with a dramatic performance of “Heer Ranjha”, followed by a mesmerizing Sufi dance. The event concluded with the distribution of awards and shields to organizers,volunteers, andsponsors. Honored guests included Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Colonel Maroof, Advocate
    Abdul Aziz, and Mr. Ayaz, owner of Bestway and Siraj Steel Mills.

    The university extended sincere felicitations to all sponsors, including Best Ways, Tours with Umair, Man U Salwa, Nafees, Allure, Sunrise Computers, JK Palace Marquee, Dar Jewelers, Qaswa Welfare, Out Style, SKAGEN, Afzal Jewelers, Peer Shah Ghazi Hotel, Saif Events, Heavenly, Motor Deals, KHR Foods, PK Marketing International, MA Solutions, Golden Grill & Karahi House, Sydney Pizzeria, Bite & Role,

    MUSTival 2K25 was a powerful reflection of the energy, vision, and dedication of the MUST students, who brought to life a festival that combined learning, leadership, and legacy. The university proudly recognizes everyone involved in making it an inspiring success.
