London, (PR) : Chaudhry Muhammad Shabbir, Senior Vice President of Pakistan Peoples Party Birmingham, UK, and pride of Dadyal, stated that Muharram-ul-Haram teaches us the lessons of patience, sacrifice, and distinguishing between truth and falsehood. He said that the steadfastness, patience, and sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his devoted companions against tyranny, oppression, and injustice will remain a beacon of guidance for humanity until the end of time.He expressed these thoughts while speaking to the media, adding that the message of Karbala is a call for the entire humanity to struggle against evil and stand for truth. The great sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) taught us that standing firm for the truth is the true success. The Muslim Ummah, facing numerous challenges today, is in dire need of the spirit of Hussain (A.S.).Chaudhry Muhammad Shabbir expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and Palestine, stating that our Kashmiri and Palestinian brothers are still facing brutality, oppression, and injustice. He emphasized that Muharram-ul-Haram teaches us to support truth and justice, stand with the oppressed, and raise our voices against tyranny.He added that Pakistan has always stood with the oppressed and will continue to support them at every level. He expressed hope that the day is not far when the sun of freedom will rise in Palestine and Occupied Jammu & Kashmir, and our oppressed brothers will be free from tyranny and live a life of liberty.Chaudhry Muhammad Shabbir prayed that the new Islamic year becomes a source of peace, unity, progress for the Muslim Ummah, and comfort, justice, and salvation for the oppressed. He emphasized that as a nation, we must avoid sectarianism, hatred, intolerance, and violenc, and instead promote unity, harmony, and brotherhood.
He said that Ulema and Mashaikh are the pillars in promoting religious harmony and the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and their guidance is crucial for fostering peace and brotherhood in society. He appealed to Ulema and Mashaikh to play their role during Muharram in maintaining peace and promoting brotherhood.Promoting religious harmony, tolerance, and the message of unity during Muharram is a collective responsibility, and every citizen should play a positive role in maintaining peace so that together, we can build a peaceful and united Pakistan.
