Rawalakot, (Parliament Times) : In a significant meeting held in Rawalakot, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) launched its membership drive as part of the intraparty elections. The meeting was hosted by former Poonch election candidate Maulana Riaz Ahmad Nomani.
Special guest Maulana Saeed Yusuf, the Amir of JUI Azad Kashmir, emphasized the need for council members to publicize their developmental schemes on social media, ensuring complete oversight by party workers. He urged the public to utilize funds correctly for the welfare of the community.
Maulana Yusuf invited Muslims across the region to join JUI, asserting that their participation is crucial for bringing true freedom to politics and transforming the state into a genuinely welfare-oriented and religious entity. He expressed hope that the youth, including sisters and daughters, would join this movement for truth, strengthening the party’s cause.
Former Assembly candidate and Poonch election organizer Maulana Riaz Nomani thanked the attendees for their participation and reiterated that JUI is the only party free from corruption, committed to safeguarding the country’s ideological and territorial integrity.
Dr. Muhammad Irfan Kiani, Deputy Organizer of Elections in Poonch, praised JUI’s robust stance on national integrity and noted that the party is attracting individuals from various schools of thought. A significant number of participants, led by Maulana Abdullah Al-Aziz from Union Council Ali Sojal, attended the meeting, along with several other prominent leaders including Maulana Iftikhar and Dr. Muhammad Qamar-ul-Zaman Kiani.
