The session focused on enhancing the performance and outreach of the country’s Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI). Minister Kamal emphasized the critical role of media engagement and practical community outreach strategies to ensure vital health messages penetrate every segment of the population. He reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to achieving full nationwide vaccine coverage and improving public health outcomes across Pakistan.
Building on this momentum, Dopasi Foundation later hosted a landmark convening which brought together members of the Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) to catalyze action on accessible, equitable healthcare and launch the Parliamentary Caucus on Global Health and Ending TB. This cross-party initiative aims to accelerate policy reform and grassroots mobilization, particularly in underserved communities.
One of the standout moments of the event was the live demonstration of an ultra-portable, AI-powered X-ray device—a game-changing diagnostic tool poised to revolutionize TB detection in hard-to-reach areas. The symbolic handover of this device featured special guest Mr. Mickeal Carrniee, a multi Guinness World Record holder, highlighting international solidarity in advancing local health innovation.
