Raja Javed Iqbal, hosts a dinner in honor of Sardar Abid Hussain Abid

Nottingham, (PR) : Deputy General Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party United Kingdom Raja Javed Iqbal, hosted a dinner in honor of Sardar Abid Hussain Abid , former Minister for Information and candidate for the Legislative Assembly, and a senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The dinner was held at Tipu Restaurantband was attended by central leaders of PPP UK including Raja Shabbir Ahmed,General Secretary people’s Party Nottingham Branch Chaudhary Sagheer Karlus,Ashfaq Raja, Zahid Kalyal Bainsi, former Advisor to the President Raja Ayub, President of PML-N Nottingham Branch Raja Ajaib, and Muhammad Mubashir.
During his address, Sardar Abid Hussain Abid stated that overseas Kashmiris are a valuable asset who strengthen the national economy by sending remittances. Along with managing their livelihoods in the UK, they have also been elected as Members of Parliament, Councillors, Mayors, and Lord Mayors, where they are actively solving the issues of their communities. He acknowledged the important role of overseas Kashmiris in highlighting the Kashmir issue at the international level and praised them for their efforts.
He further said that migrant Kashmiris also play a key role in the development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, a role that cannot be overlooked. He emphasized that during its tenure, the PPP laid the foundation of development across Azad Jammu and Kashmir by establishing medical colleges, universities, providing jobs on merit at people’s doorstep , and building a network of roads from Neelum to Bhimber , thereby delivering real relief to the public.
He added that in the upcoming elections, overseas Kashmiris will have a crucial role, and he appealed to all overseas Kashmiris to come forward, use their vote , and support Pakistan Peoples Party, the only party capable of addressing the people’s problems.
Other speakers at the event also expressed their views, stating that the PPP is a true people’s party. They vowed to respond to every call of their leadership and play their full role in ensuring PPP’s success, InshaAllah.
