Karachi, (Parliament Times) : Pakistan Peoples Party has achieved a major political breakthrough in the politics of Azad Kashmir by formally inducting former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan into the party. This important development came to light at Zardari House Karachi when Sardar Tanveer Ilyas held a special meeting with In-charge of Political Affairs Azad Kashmir and Member Sindh Assembly Ms. Faryal Talpur.
During the meeting, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was accompanied by Azad Kashmir Member of Assembly Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni and Advisor to the Government Sardar Ahmed Sagheer. The three leaders expressed full confidence in the leadership of President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and announced their joining into the Pakistan Peoples Party.
Ms. Faryal Talpur, while welcoming these leaders for joining the party, said that the Pakistan Peoples Party will continue its struggle for the resolution of the Kashmir issue and the development of the Kashmiri people. she said, “The People’s Party is the only national party whose foundation was laid on the Kashmir issue, and when Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari becomes the Prime Minister, not only will a new era of development begin in Azad Kashmir, but the dream of independence for occupied Kashmir will also become a reality.”
Speaking on the occasion, former Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan said, “The struggle for Kashmir cause is unforgettable that’s why I have decided to continue the political struggle from the PPP platform along with my colleagues. ”The meeting and participation of several prominent figures were attended by Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, while Advisor Sardar Iftikhar Rashid was also present.
According to political observers, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan’s joining the Pakistan Peoples Party will prove to be a turning point in the upcoming political alignment of Azad Kashmir and the decision for the PPP in the coming elections will lead to significant strength in the election field.
