Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan, Dr. Zaher Zahid, visited the National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad, where he was warmly welcomed by President NPC Azhar Jatoi, Secretary Nayyar Ali, Senior Vice President Ehtesham-ul-Haq, Vice President Syed Zafar Hashmi, Joint Secretary Javed Bhagat, and governing body members including Naveed Ahmed Sheikh, Tanveer Shehzad, and Raja Majid Afser.
During the visit, Secretary Nayyar Ali briefed the distinguished guest about the structure, role, and activities of the National Press Club.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Dr. Zaher Zahid expressed his gratitude for the invitation, stating,
“A strong Pakistan is essential for the survival of Palestine. From the very beginning, Pakistan has stood by Palestine and has advocated for our cause at every international platform. Our hearts beat together.”
He emphasized that the brotherly relations between the two nations are historic and deeply rooted. He said Palestinians consider Pakistan their second home and have heartfelt love for the country and its people.
The Ambassador also thanked the people and government of Pakistan for their consistent support and humanitarian assistance to the oppressed people of Palestine.
Later, Dr. Zaher Zahid was given a tour of the National Press club.
