    Strict laws are needed to protect women: Jamila Khatoon

    Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : Jamila Khatoon, Central Joint sect,PML.N Azad Kashmir Women Wing said that strict laws are needed to protect women. Women are being harassed through social media and other means. Women members of assemblies, women in administrative positions, women lawyers, social activists, women in media, and politics should raise their voices against this.

    She appreciated Nisarah Abbasi, Advisor to the Government, for raising her voice in this regard. Women from different fields should play their role in this matter. Those who blackmail women should be given strict punishment. Institutions with co-education or mixed workplaces need to be closely monitored.

    There should be strict cybercrime laws for those who misuse social media to harass women. She further said that there is a need for moral education of our young generation so that they can become good citizens of society.
