MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : The Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Monday adopted a unanimous resolution calling for the Islamabad International Airport be named after the former prime minister of Pakistan Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, it was officially said.
Pertinently, the resolution presented by Minister for Social Welfare and Women Development Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi was unanimously approved by the House, says an official handout issued by Press Information department of AJK government on Monday.
“This House demands that the New Islamabad International Airport be named after former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ms. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed in recognition of her unprecedented services to the country both at national and international level”, the resolution said.
The resolution paid tribute to her invaluable services in making defense of the country invincible, safeguarding of the nuclear program, upholding supremacy of the constitution and rule of law, strengthening democracy and her tireless efforts for acquiring missile technology, the official statement said.adding that the house unanimously approved the resolution
