KCEU’s chair Ali Raza Syed welcomes Bilawal Bhutto in European Parliament

Brussels, (PR) : Ali Raza Syed, Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU) welcomed Pakistan’s high-level diplomatic delegation head Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the European Parliament on Thursday.

During his conversation with Bilawal Bhutto in the European Parliament, Ali Raza Syed praised the former Foreign Minister for highlighting the Kashmir issue and the rights of Kashmiris in the US and UK, as well as exposing India’s oppressive tactics against Kashmiris and Pakistan.

The high-level diplomatic delegation, led by Bilawal Bhutto, arrived in Brussels yesterday for meetings with European officials and members of parliament after his visits to the US and UK.

In a statement following his meeting with Bilawal Bhutto, Chairman Ali Raza Syed expressed hope that the former Pakistan’s Foreign Minister’s Europe tour and engagements with European leaders would yield positive outcomes.

He emphasized that Pakistan needs a stronger lobbying effort in Europe to expose Indian atrocities and bring the Kashmir issue back into focus. “Pakistan must maintain continuous engagement and dialogue with Europe,” he said, adding that efforts must persist until Kashmir is resolved justly in accordance with UN resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people.

Ali Raza Syed stated that while India continues to oppress Kashmiris and obstruct a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute, it is also threatening to weaponize water by blocking Pakistan’s share in violation of the Indus Waters Treaty. “India’s recent aggression against Pakistan and Azad Kashmir is a breach of international law,” he said, pointing out that last month’s attacks on Azad Kashmir and Pakistan resulted in civilian casualties, while in occupied Kashmir, Indian troops harassed innocent people and destroyed homes.
