MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : Justice Sardar Liaquat Hussain, the Acting Chief Justice of the AJK High Court on Friday took the oath of his office as permanent Chief Justice of the High Court of Azad Jammu Kashmir state, it was officially announced.
The President of Azad Jammu Kashmir state Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry administered the oath of office to Justice Sardar Liaquat Hussain, the newly appointed Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court, at a ceremony hosted at the Aiwan e Sadr at Jammu Kashmir House in the federal metropolis, AJK President office said on Friday.
The ceremony was attended among others by the AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq, ministers, judges, lawyers and top-ranking officials of the government including Justice Syed Shahid Bahar, Justice Sardar Muhammad Ijaz Khan, Justice Chaudhry Khalid Rashid, Law Minister Mian Abdul Waheed, Minister for Power Development Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, Minister for Physical Planning and Housing Chaudhry Yasir Sultan, Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan, Presidential Advisor Sardar Imtiaz Khan, Advocate General Sheikh Masood Iqbal, Joint Secretary Kashmir Council Azad Jammu and Kashmir Ali Akbar Khattak, Acting Inspector General of Police Yasin Qureshi, Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir Khushal Khan, Secretary Finance Islam Zeb Khan, Secretary Law Chaudhry Muhammad Sajjad, Secretary Physical Planning and Housing Chaudhry Majeed Ahmed, Secretary Planning and Development Aamir Latif Awan, Secretary Services Sardar Zafar Ali Khan, District and Sessions Judges of Azad Kashmir, Vice Chairman Azad Jammu and Kashmir Bar Council Uqab Ahmed Hashmi, President Supreme Court Bar Association Javed Najam Al-Saqib, President High Court Bar Association Raja Waseem Younus Advocate and others.
