    Plantation and awareness campaign organizes in collaboration with PHA, EPA, RECP, Roots and Murree Brewery in Rawal Park,

    Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Like the rest of the world, World Environment Day was celebrated in Pakistan in a grand manner. On the occasion of World Environment Day, PHA Rawalpindi, EPA Rawalpindi, RECP, Roots and Murree Brewery organized a tree plantation, awareness about environmental pollution and awareness campaign to prevent plastic bags in collaboration with PHA Rawalpindi, EPA Rawalpindi, RECP, Roots and Murree Brewery.

    Director General PHA Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha specially participated in this event. Important personalities from EPA Rawalpindi, RECP, Roots, Murree Brewery and other walks of life were present. People participated in full,
    On the occasion of this special event of World Environment Day in Rawal Park, DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha and others participated in the tree plantation campaign by planting saplings. To raise awareness about the issue of plastic bag disposal and the obvious effects of plastic on environmental pollution, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha symbolically collected plastic bags in Rawal Park and disposed of them in garbage bins.
    Later, an awareness walk was also organized to raise awareness about environmental pollution and prevent the use of plastic. DG PHA Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha and other important personalities participated in the awareness walk.
    On this occasion, DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that the purpose of celebrating Environment Day is to create awareness and awareness about improving the environment and eliminating pollution. Pakistan is also facing severe environmental pollution at the moment and its serious effects on the earth are being created.
    He said that the United Nations has June has been designated as World Environment Day to draw attention to the need to protect the environment from potential damage caused by pollution. Ahmed Hassan Ranjha further said that Pakistan’s share in the greenhouse gases that cause global warming is close to one percent, however, Pakistan is among the top ten countries affected by global warming. For some time now, the problem of smog in the atmosphere of Pakistan, especially Punjab, has become very serious. In this regard, there is an urgent need to take necessary steps, plant trees and provide awareness. He said that the increasing use of plastic is causing problems such as environmental pollution, human health, threats to aquatic life, increase in garbage piles and economic losses. Plastic cannot even be composted and despite being buried in garbage for hundreds of years, it does not disappear and it pollutes soil and water. This pollution damages agricultural production and affects our food supply, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that the negative effects of plastic use are profound on society and the environment. We have to take this issue seriously and promote reduction in plastic use, recycling, and use of alternative materials so that the environment can be kept clean. Awareness in this regard is very important.
