    60 projects displayed in Air University first open house

    ATTOCK : As many as 60 innovative projects developed by undergraduate students from diverse academic disciplines, including Aviation Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering were showcased during the first open house of Air University Aerospace and Aviation Campus, Kamra. The event witnessed vibrant participation from all departments and provided students with an invaluable opportunity to network directly with industry leaders. It served as a platform for future collaborations, internships, and employment opportunities.

    The event drew participation from over 100 representatives of leading companies, industries, and organizations, providing a dynamic platform for students to present their innovative ideas and research-driven solutions to potential employers, entrepreneurs, and technical experts. The exhibition was honoured by the presence of Air Marshal Farhat Hussain Khan (Retd), CEO Aerospace Design and Innovation Center Kamra, as the chief guest. He was accompanied by the Chief of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra and various Managing Directors and CEOs from different factories and companies. Following the arrival of the distinguished guests, the exhibition was formally inaugurated.

    In his welcome address, Campus Director Air vice Marshal Shams ul Haq (Retd) highlighted the achievements of Air University Kamra Campus and emphasized the importance of strengthening the connection between academic innovation and industry needs. He expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu for introducing the Triple Helix Model as a significant initiative to promote strong academia-industry linkages in Aviation City Kamra. “The purpose of today’s exhibition is to provide our graduating students with a platform to display their creativity and problem-solving capabilities to the wider academic and professional community,” he noted. He also shared that more than 900 students are currently enrolled across various faculties, benefiting from state-of-the-art academic and research facilities.

    In his address, Air Marshal Farhat Hussain Khan (Retd) expressed his appreciation for the quality of education and technical proficiency demonstrated by the students. “This open house exhibition reflects the high standards of academic and technological excellence that Air University strives to uphold. The creative and research-oriented projects displayed here are a testament to the students’ potential to contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s socio-economic progress. All students and faculty should benefit from the unique close proximity of the aviation industry, R&D set-up and academia” he said.
