Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : A day of thanksgiving was celebrated in Rawalpindi Cantonment Board for the historic victory against India.
A tribute was paid to the Pak forces for giving a befitting reply to Indian aggression. A dignified flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Rawalpindi Cantonment office.
On the occasion of Thanksgiving Day, full solidarity was expressed with the Pakistan Air Force and the Pakistani Army for giving a befitting reply to the Indian aggression and a cake was also cut. The veterans of the Pakistan Air Force and the soldiers of the armed forces were also presented with a salute of bravery for their excellent performance in the Indo-Pakistan war.
In the Thanksgiving Day ceremony, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board CEO Raja Haider Shuja, Additional CEO Arshad Khan, Deputy CEO Nasir Kamal, Secretary Cantonment Board Imran Habib, Senior Cantonment Engineer Abdul Samad and elected members Chaudhry Shakoor Ahmed, Malik Sagheer Ahmed, Rashid Ahmed Khan, Tahir Ayoub along with a large number of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board employees expressed solidarity with the Pakistan Army.
Slogans were raised in favor of the falcons of the Pakistan Army and Air Force, “Long live Pakistan, Long live the Pak Army, Long live the Pak martyrs.” Special prayers were offered for the eternal reward and elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. The army has made every Pakistani proud. The love between the Pakistani people and the armed forces is an unbreakable bond.
The participants further said that Thanksgiving Day is a day to prostrate in gratitude to Allah Almighty. CEO Rawalpindi Cantonment Board Raja Haider Shuja said that the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board celebrated Thanksgiving Day in a grand manner to express solidarity with the Pakistani Armed Forces.
He added that Pakistan’s armed forces are the best in the world. Our armed forces have made the country and nation proud all over the world. The entire nation stands by the armed forces of Pakistan. No sacrifice will be spared to protect the motherland.
