Ceremony to Pay Tribute to Martyrs and Ghazis; Rally to Follow
Rawalakot (Parliament Times) : A special ceremony will be held tomorrow at the Main Campus (Shamsabad) of the University of Poonch Rawalakot to commemorate the success of Operation Bunyanun-Marsoos, launched in response to Indian aggression. The event, marking Youm-e-Tashakur, will honor the martyrs and Ghazis who made great sacrifices for the nation.
Students, faculty members, and administrative staff will participate in the ceremony. Following the event, a rally will be held, proceeding from the university to the District Complex Rawalakot.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zakaria Zakar said,
“Operation Bunyanun-Marsoos is a remarkable example of professional excellence, valor, and national unity. Our armed forces demonstrated not only superior military capability but also an unshakeable commitment to defending the sovereignty and dignity of our homeland. This operation sent a powerful message to the world: the Pakistani nation stands united and resolute in the defense of its borders.”
Dr. Zakar further emphasized the responsibility of educational institutions to commemorate such pivotal moments and to educate the youth about the sacrifices made for the nation’s peace and security.
“We salute our brave martyrs, ghazis, and all those who played a role in this historic achievement,” he added.
