USA, (PR) ;  Zulfiqar Basra, Vice President of Pakistan People’s Party USA, welcomed The New York Times article recognizing the leadership qualities of Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, in which he was described as a “man of steel.”In his statement, Basra said that following the Pahalgam false flag operation, General Munir set an example by taking a firm stand against Indian aggression and uniting the nation under a clear and strong narrative. He praised the general’s role in maintaining national unity during tense times.
He emphasized that the people of Pakistan and Kashmir stand firmly behind their armed forces like an unbreakable wall and are fully prepared to confront any aggression from India. He also lauded General Munir’s reaffirmation of Kashmir as Pakistan’s “jugular vein” — a term with deep emotional and patriotic significance for the Pakistani nation.Zulfiqar Basra went on to denounce Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him the “butcher of Gujarat” and a known oppressor of Muslims. He condemned the ongoing human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which he described as the “world’s largest open-air prison.”He concluded by vowing that the PPP will continue to highlight the Kashmir issue globally — including in the United States — and expose India’s brutal actions under Modi’s leadership. He expressed hope that the day is not far when the people of Kashmir will finally gain their birthright: the right to self-determination.
