London, (PR) : Prominent Kashmiri intellectual and author of several books, Younis Turabi, hosted a delegation at his residence, which included Chaudhry Amin (Member of PPP Federal Council and close associate of the late Benazir Bhutto), Khurram Murad, Senior Vice President of PPP Birmingham Branch Chaudhry Muhammad Shabbir, and renowned lawyer Farooq Azam.
During the meeting, Younis Turabi highlighted key aspects of the Kashmir issue, emphasizing that Kashmir has a 5,000-year-old history and should not be treated like other Indian states.He stated that a solution must be sought in light of history, as that is the only way to ensure lasting peace in the subcontinent. He also urged Britain, as the colonial-era power, to fulfill its moral and legal responsibility by supporting a resolution based on the will of the Kashmiri people.
Chaudhry Amin noted that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is the only political party that has consistently raised the Kashmir issue at international forums and stood firmly with the Kashmiri people. He emphasized that PPP has always advocated for a just solution that aligns with the aspirations of Kashmiris, without pushing for forced accession.Farooq Azam Advocate fully agreed with Turabi’s insights, and Chaudhry Muhammad Shabbir praised Younis Turabi’s efforts and dedication to the Kashmir cause. He also thanked him for the warm hospitality and valuable time given to the visiting delegation.
