London, (PR) : A large protest was held by overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris outside the Indian High Commission. The demonstration was led by Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Welfare Council (OPWC), Naeem Naqshbandi.
On this occasion, prominent overseas Kashmiri leader Riaz Komervi, President of Pakistan Peoples Party London Mian Saleem, President of OPWC Haji Abid Hussain, Convener of the Kashmir Coordination Committee Muhammad Nisar Chaudhry, Sahibzada Akram Baho, and PYO leader Rafiqat Ali, along with a large number of overseas Pakistanis and Kashmiris, participated in the protest.
During the protest, the participants expressed solidarity with the Armed Forces of Pakistan and strongly protested against India. They held Pakistani and Kashmiri flags in their hands and raised intense anti-India slogans.
Addressing the protest, Chairman OPWC Naeem Naqshbandi said, “We want peace, but if India initiates war, our brave armed forces will teach it a lesson. Despite over seven decades of brutal oppression in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India has failed to break the spirit of the Kashmiri freedom movement.”
He further added, “Today, a large number of Kashmiris are present at this protest. No force can defeat the passion and love of the Kashmiris. In line with the National Security Committee’s declaration, the entire Pakistani and Kashmiri nation stands united with the Pakistan Army. We are fortunate to have the honor of either becoming martyrs or victors in the defense of our country. Pakistan wants a resolution of the Kashmir issue according to the UN resolutions. India is deluded if it thinks that Kashmiris are not with Pakistan—Kashmiris are the frontline soldiers in defense of the nation.”
Addressing the gathering, prominent overseas Kashmiri leader Riaz Komervi said, “I assure the Chief of the Armed Forces that if India imposes war, Kashmiris will fight alongside the Pakistan Army. Our people will remain on the frontlines to liberate occupied Jammu and Kashmir from India. Today, we are united beyond political affiliations.”
He said, “Our forefathers sacrificed their lives to liberate this region, and we will not hesitate to lay down our lives to protect it.”
Convener of the Kashmir Coordination Committee, Muhammad Nisar Chaudhry, stated, “If India attempts any misadventure, the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir will stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistani forces and give a crushing response.”
Afterward, slogans were raised in support of Pakistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
