Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : The distribution of Chinese agricultural equipment and tools organized by the Ministry of National Food Security and Research was held at the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) Islamabad. President Asif Ali Zardari’s spokesperson for Balochistan Provincial Minister of Agriculture Mir Ali Hassan Zehri welcomed the Chinese Ambassador Mr. Jiang Yadong. Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain was the guest of honor at the event. The Agricutlure ministers and other senior officials of the four provinces also attended the event. The Chinese Ambassador thanked the excellent hospitality and reaffirmed his commitment to continue cooperation, expressing his commitment to continue cooperation in agricultural development under CPEC.
Addressing the ceremony, Mir Ali Hassan ZEhri said that the love of the Chinese government and the people for Pakistan is undeniable. He thanked the Chinese government from the Pakistani people, especially the people of Balochistan. Provincial Minister for Agriculture and Cooperative Mir Ali Hassan Zehri on the occasion thanked the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Yadong also welcomed the opportunity for the people of Balochistan. He further said that Inshallah we will continue our efforts with the guidelines of the President Asif Ali Zardari for the development of Balochistan province and the day is not far when Balochistan will also play its role in the development and prosperity of the agriculture sector along with other provinces. Mir Ali Hassan Zehri added that the agriculture sector is the most important and backbone in the economy and is 24 % of the domestic economy, while Balochistan is less contributing to the agriculture sector, but better strategies and modern technology and research are strengthened in the province.
The provincial minister Agriculture for Balochistan said that important and lasting projects will be implemented in Balochistan to promote the agriculture sector and bring Balochistan to the agricultural sector, which is underway for which preparations are underway. Today’s event is an important step towards the agricultural revolution. Providing the Chinese agricultural equipment will improve the agricultural sector in Pakistan, especially Balochistan. Mir Ali Hassan Zehri said that with the best guidance from the agriculture department, agriculturists and small farmers will be able to settle their fields in better way. The provincial minister said that the agriculture and revolutionary reforms in the agriculture sector can promote the agriculture sector and we will welcome better proposals in this regard. Mir Ali Hassan Zehri added that effective and modern reforms will be made in every sector associated with agriculture to build the agriculture sector in Balochistan on modern lines so that the role of this sector in the country’s economy can be improved.
