    Lahore Police arrested 10,589 suspects this year during various operations against electricity theft

    Lahore, (PR) ; Lahore Police have arrested 10,589 suspects this year during various operations against electricity theft, the spokesman Lahore Police stated today.

    The spokesman further stated that 8,732 cases have been registered at different police stations across the city against those involved. According to the breakdown, 1,363 suspects were arrested in Iqbal Town Division, 2,066 in Sadar Division, 3,434 in Cantt Division, 2,046 in Model Town Division, 1,197 in City Division and 483 in Civil Lines Division.

    Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana, emphasized that those damaging national resources will not be granted any leniency. He affirmed that indiscriminate operations are being carried out against electricity theft.

    The CCPO has directed police officers to provide full support to relevant departments in holding the offenders accountable. He instructed that police teams should be further mobilized to apprehend wanted individuals involved in electricity theft and stressed on ensuring the effective follow-up of these cases until their logical conclusion.

    Bilal Siddique Kamyana reiterated that Lahore Police remain steadfast in their mission to combat crime day and night. He also urged citizens to promptly report incidents of electricity theft to the police and concerned authorities.
