Attock : Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit, Bilal Akbar Khan, has stated that the Ramadan Convenience Bazaar in Attock is among the best in Punjab and should serve as a model for other districts. He expressed these views during his visit to the Ramadan Convenience Bazaar in Attock. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza, former Member of the Provincial Assembly and ticket holder Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, ticket holder Malik Hameed Akbar Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Attock Anil Saeed, Assistant Commissioner Anza Abbasi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance & Planning Nausheen Israr, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Attock Sardar Aftab Ahmed Khan, Secretary Regional Transport Authority Sardar Zaheer Ahmed Khan, Deputy Director Social Welfare Arif Mehmood Siddiqui, and other officials. During the visit, the provincial minister inspected various sections of the Ramadan Convenience Bazaar and reviewed the prices and quality of essential commodities. Speaking to the media on the occasion, he reiterated that the Ramadan Convenience Bazaar in Attock is among the best in Punjab and serves as a model for other districts. He emphasized that essential items are being provided at discounted rates with high quality. Answering various questions, Minister Bilal Akbar Khan assured that the issue of sugar supply would soon be resolved. He acknowledged that the entire province, including Attock, was facing a sugar supply issue, and strict legal action would be taken against those responsible. Furthermore, he mentioned that, as per the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the elimination of encroachments was also being carried out. Bilal Akbar Khan announced that electric buses would soon be introduced in Attock to facilitate public transportation, with students benefiting from half fares and women traveling free of charge. Later, the provincial minister visited the General Bus Stand in Attock, where he announced that the bus stand would be upgraded and transformed into a model bus stand. Earlier, Minister Bilal Akbar Khan presided over various meetings at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Attock. These meetings were attended by Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza, Member of the Provincial Assembly Malik Itbar Khan, former Provincial Minister for Sports Jahangir Khanzada, former MPA and ticket holder Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, ticket holder Malik Hameed Akbar Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Attock Waqas Aslam Marth, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance & Planning Nausheen Israr, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Attock Anil Saeed, Assistant Commissioner Anza Abbasi, Secretary Regional Transport Authority Sardar Zaheer Ahmed Khan, DSP Traffic Chaudhry Tahir Abbas, and other senior officers. Addressing the meeting, the Minister for Transport directed transporters and terminal owners not to increase fares during Eid-ul-Fitr and to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Punjab government. He also assured that issues related to transporters, including route permits and biometric verification, would be resolved. During his visit, Bilal Akbar Khan also participated.
