    Secretary sports chairs an important meeting over the direction of sports minister

    Lahore, (PR) : On the direction of sports minister Malik Faisal Ayub Khokher, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial chaired an important meeting. Muzaffar Sial while addressing to the meeting said that as many as 62 athletes are being given scholarships from Rs 2 billion Sports Endowment Fund and the top performing players of upcoming 35th National Games will also be awarded scholarships from this revolutionary fund.

    Secretary Sports also shared this information while addressing an important meeting at the Punjab Stadium on Tuesday.

    Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry and Additional Secretary Mian Usman Ali participated in the meeting whereas Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, Finance Department and GM Pension Fund officers were also present on this occasion.

    Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial said that the top performing players are being awarded scholarships in three categories – platinum, gold and silver for a year. “Rs 70,000 are being provided in platinum categories, Rs 50,000 in gold and Rs 30,000 are being given in silver category”.

    Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial further said that Rs 2 billion Sports Endowment Fund has been established for the welfare of the players. “Players’ development is the top priority of Punjab Sports Department,” Secretary Sports Punjab added.
