    MoU was signed between SMBBMU Larkana and COMSTECH

    LARKANA : A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Larkana and COMTECH Islamabad to increase cooperation in the field of health, research, artificial intelligence, technology and innovation. This agreement was signed for joint academic and scientific research programs, exchange of students and faculty and providing opportunities for students and researchers of OIC member countries. This agreement was signed in Islamabad by Vice Chancellor of SMBBMU Prof. Dr. Nusrat Shah and Coordinator General of COMSTECH Prof. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Chaudhary, while ORIC Director of SMBBMU Prof. Mir Hasan Khoso and Program Manager of COMSTECH Mr. Haris Akram were also present. The two institutions will jointly organize workshops, conferences, and training programs to promote academic activities and clinical services in OIC countries. COMSTECH will help establish a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence center at SMBBMU and another center for climate change studies, and provide research fellowships for SMBBMU faculty members and postgraduates, while SMBBMU will provide training workshops and short courses for healthcare providers in OIC countries and send its faculty members and students to provide clinical services in OIC countries. Through improving health facilities and strengthening educational relations between SMBBMU, COMSTECH, and OIC member countries. Prof. Shah and Prof. Chowdhury expressed their firm commitment to work together to improve health delivery and improve the lives of people in the poorest countries of Africa and the Middle East.
