Lahore, (PR) : In a major step towards educational development, Punjab Minister for Minerals Sher Ali Gorchani laid the foundation stone for a modern school in Dandot. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized the importance of education, stating that the progress of any nation depends on quality education, and the Punjab government is committed to providing modern educational facilities to every child.
Minister Gorchani highlighted that, under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, revolutionary measures are being implemented across Punjab’s education sector to ensure quality education for all. As part of this initiative, he announced the construction of two new schools in different areas of Chakwal.
Furthermore, the number of scholarships for the children of mining labourers has significantly increased, allowing them greater access to higher education opportunities. Large-scale development projects have also been launched to improve essential facilities in schools across Punjab, ensuring quality education in every region.
Sher Ali Gorchani reaffirmed the Punjab government’s commitment to upgrading schools and providing modern facilities, aiming to secure a brighter future for the next generations. Additionally, position-holding students among miners’ children will be awarded laptops and e-bikes to support their academic success.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by former provincial minister Tanveer Aslam Sethi and other key dignitaries, who praised this initiative as a milestone in educational development. They acknowledged the Punjab government’s efforts to promote education, emphasizing that this step will lay the foundation for an educational revolution in the region, benefiting thousands of students and further strengthening Punjab’s commitment to quality education.
