    Newly elected members of AJ&K Press Foundation take oath

    Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : The newly elected members of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Press Foundation took oath. Justice Sardar Liaquat Hussain, chairman of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Press Foundation, took oath as the Board of Governors from the newly elected members.

    Minister for Elementary and Secondry Education Deewan Ali Chughtai, former Information Minister Sardar Abid Hussain Abid, Secretary Information Sardar Adnan Khurshid, Director Information Raja Amjad Hussain Minhas, Director Information Mirza Muhammad Bashir, and senior journalists from Rawalpindi Islamabad and Azad Kashmir Participated.

    Among the members of the Press Foundation who took oath were Shahzad Rathore and Tahir Masood from Rawalpindi/ Islamabad, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali from Muzaffarabad, Aslam Mirza from Jhelum Valley, Mohammad Hayat Awan from Neelum, Zahid Bashir from Rawlakot, Raja Mohammad Ashraf from Bagh, Sardar Ijaz Khaliq from Plandri, Balighur Rehman Rathore from Haveli, Khalid Mehmood from Mirpur, Iftikhar Ahmed from Bhimber, and Shaukat Ali Khokhar from Kotli.

    Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Press Foundation Justice Sardar Liaqat Hussain said that the Press Foundation is a great institution in Azad Kashmir. The company is working well for the welfare of journalists. We have increased the amount given to the deceased from 25,000 to 4 million. In addition, steps have been taken for the welfare of journalists.

    He said that the profession of journalism is important for the betterment of society. He Congratulated to all the elected members of the Press Foundation, hoped that the newly elected members will work for strengthening the institution and the welfare of the journalism community.

    On this occasion, he also appreciated the services of the former Director General of Information and Secretary Press Foundation.

    Addressing the ceremony, Director Information and Secretary Press Foundation Raja Amjad Hussain Minhas highlighted the aims and objectives of the Press Foundation.

    He also paid tribute to the services of Chairman Press Foundation Justice Sardar Liaquat Hussain, former Chairman Press Foundation Justice Siddiqat Hussain Raja and former Director General Information Raja Azhar Iqbal’s Press Foundation.
